About this role
Anduril Industries seeks an IT Security Engineer to manage and maintain classified infrastructure for their Space division, handling system hardening, compliance, and virtualization across Windows and Linux environments. This role combines hands-on infrastructure administration with security compliance in a defense technology setting.
What you'll do
- Administer and harden Windows Server and Linux systems, maintaining approved baselines in classified environments
- Manage VMware vSphere infrastructure including provisioning, patching, and STIG compliance validation
- Apply and validate STIGs using SCAP and SCC tools across operating systems and virtual platforms
- Configure and maintain enterprise services including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and patch management systems
- Develop automation scripts and Ansible playbooks to enforce configuration consistency and reduce manual overhead
- Support vulnerability scanning, remediation of findings, and security assessments with technical evidence collection
