About this role
Anduril Industries seeks a Machine Vision Engineer to design, integrate, and deploy automated inspection and monitoring systems across manufacturing facilities. You'll work on 2nd shift, collaborating with senior engineers to develop vision solutions for quality control and process automation while supporting production line implementation and staff training.
What you'll do
- Design and implement machine vision systems for industrial automation, quality inspection, and defect detection
- Select, test, validate, and maintain vision hardware including cameras, lenses, lighting, and controllers
- Install, test, and commission vision systems on production lines under senior engineer guidance
- Investigate and resolve vision system errors using root-cause analysis methods
- Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate inspection systems with manufacturing processes
- Train production staff on vision equipment operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance

- Industrial vision hardware platforms (Cognex, Keyence, Basler, Sick)
- Python, C#, or C++ programming
- Camera selection, lens optics, and lighting techniques
- PLC and industrial robotics integration
- OpenCV, PyTorch, or TensorFlow experience
- 3D imaging techniques (structured light, stereo vision)
- Git and modern development workflows
