About this role
Anduril Industries seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to serve as the primary technical resource on the production floor for imaging systems assembly and test. This hands-on sustaining role focuses on rapid troubleshooting, downtime minimization, and driving continuous improvement across electromechanical and optomechanical hardware production.
What you'll do
- Embed on production floor to diagnose and resolve in-line assembly, integration, and test issues in real-time
- Triage and manage production downtime tickets, coordinating across engineering, maintenance, quality, and supply chain teams
- Maintain ERP and MES systems for accurate production tracking, inventory management, and data integrity
- Perform root-cause analysis on failing hardware and processes, implementing corrective and preventive actions
- Create and update work instructions, SOPs, and rework procedures; manage ECO/ECN implementations
- Analyze line data to identify recurring failures and bottlenecks, driving improvements to yield and first-pass quality
