About this role
Anduril Industries seeks a Manufacturing Engineer for Avionics to own the manufacturing processes for flight computing, guidance and navigation, and RF avionics on spacecraft. You will drive process development, Design for Manufacturability, tooling specification, and quality standards for high-reliability electronic assemblies built to aerospace and space standards.
What you'll do
- Own manufacturing process development and documentation for flight computer, GNC and RF avionics to IPC-610/620 Class 3 and NASA-STD-8739 standards
- Author and maintain work instructions, travelers and as-built records for avionics assemblies
- Drive Design for Manufacturability into avionics designs before CDR, including component selection and testability
- Specify and qualify assembly tooling, fixtures and test equipment; support test station integration
- Lead root cause analysis, PFMEA, process validation and first article inspection; disposition nonconformances
- Provide hands-on technical support to production technicians and implement RF-specific handling discipline

- PCBA processes (SMT, through-hole, conformal coating, potting, component screening)
- Box-level assembly (cabling, harnessing, mechanical integration, thermal, EMI/EMC)
- Root cause analysis methodologies (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone) and PFMEA
- Work instruction authoring for flight or high-consequence electronic hardware
- RF/microwave assembly and connector discipline
- PLM/MES systems (Foundry, Teamcenter, SAP)
- Cleanroom manufacturing and ESD control
