About this role
Anduril is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer to design mechanical ground support equipment and lead structural integration processes for spacecraft production. You'll own tooling design, mechanical integration workflows, cleanroom practices, and hands-on floor support in a fast-paced aerospace environment.
What you'll do
- Design and develop MGSE, lifting fixtures, integration stands, and transport fixtures with load-path and structural-margin analysis
- Develop and qualify mechanical integration processes including fastening, bonded joints, and precision alignment to metrology datums
- Author work instructions, travelers, and as-built records; maintain cleanroom contamination control and FOD prevention
- Drive Design for Manufacturability into structural designs before CDR; lead root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Support design reviews, manufacturing readiness reviews, and provide hands-on technical support to integration technicians
- Use Foundry and Teamcenter for build definition and process documentation; evangelize Anduril's Manufacturing Development Process

- Mechanical/structural design and tooling (MGSE, fixtures, lifting equipment)
- 3D CAD proficiency (Siemens NX preferred) with GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis
- Load-path analysis, structural margins, factors of safety, and proof-load testing
- Mechanical integration: precision fastening, bonded/shimmed joints, metrology-based alignment
- Root cause analysis (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone), PFMEA, and first article inspection
- Cleanroom manufacturing and contamination/FOD control (ISO 7 or cleaner)
- FEA or structural analysis for GSE load cases
- Aerospace/defense manufacturing processes and quality systems
