About this role
Anduril Industries seeks a Mass Properties Engineer to develop and manage weight, center of gravity, and inertia data for advanced Group 5 air vehicles and missile platforms. You'll support the full mechanical engineering lifecycle from concept through flight test, ensuring systems meet performance requirements in contested environments.
What you'll do
- Develop, track, and maintain mass properties data throughout air vehicle design phases
- Define mass properties requirements and provide trade study guidance for vehicle configurations
- Estimate, calculate, measure, and verify weight, balance, and inertia of components and assemblies
- Support weight and balance control at vehicle and subsystem levels
- Develop and maintain mass properties accounting systems and generate technical reports
- Author Weights and Balance Manuals and implement new processes and tools
