About this role
Anduril Industries seeks a Mechanical Engineer to design and develop warhead and ordnance systems that integrate with military platforms. You'll own projects from concept through testing, collaborating with manufacturing and systems teams to deliver hardware that directly supports defense operations.
What you'll do
- Design mechanical hardware from requirements through detailed CAD, drawings, fabrication, assembly, and testing
- Make practical engineering decisions on materials, tolerances, interfaces, manufacturing methods, and cost
- Build and test designs while working with manufacturing, technicians, and analysis teams to drive iterations
- Integrate hardware into larger systems by resolving interfaces and technical tradeoffs with cross-functional teams
- Progress from component-level design toward independent subsystem ownership and decision-making
- Support live testing and use results to inform next-generation designs

- Mechanical design fundamentals (materials, tolerances, DFM)
- CAD proficiency with ability to create parts, assemblies, and engineering drawings
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability
- GD&T and tolerance analysis
- Systems integration and technical communication
- Testing and data analysis for design iteration
- NX or Teamcenter CAD/PLM tools
- Problem-solving in fast-paced R&D environments
