About this role
Anduril Industries seeks a Mechanical Engineer to design and deploy automated manufacturing systems across its defense technology factories. You'll lead mechanical design from concept through commissioning, working with robotic systems, fixtures, tooling, and safety-critical components while collaborating across engineering disciplines.
What you'll do
- Lead mechanical design of automated manufacturing equipment from concept to commissioning
- Develop system-level designs, simulations, and engineering studies to validate concepts
- Design and integrate EOAT, fixtures, and assembly tooling for automation and robotic systems
- Perform mechanical analysis including stress, strain, and thermal simulations
- Oversee prototype fabrication, assembly, and testing; troubleshoot issues during production rollout
- Collaborate with electrical, controls, and robotics engineers to integrate mechanical systems
