About this role

Anduril Industries seeks a Product Sourcing Engineer to manage strategic supply chain development and cost optimization for defense technology hardware. You'll collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to drive product development from concept through production, handling supplier selection, cost engineering, and lifecycle management.

What you'll do

  • Conduct supplier selection and partner with strategic suppliers on concept scoping, design trade-offs, and cost modeling
  • Drive make-versus-buy analysis and develop manufacturing BOMs in coordination with Quality and Manufacturing teams
  • Manage CAPEX during new product introduction and perform value-stream mapping to optimize lead times and supply flexibility
  • Complete BOM risk assessments, component qualifications, and alternate sourcing strategies before production
  • Lead cost engineering activities to align bottom-up costs with product targets and maximize total cost of ownership across lifecycles
  • Manage ad-hoc cost challenges including tariffs, import/export issues, and cost inflation
