Anduril Industries
Software Engineer, Battlespace Awareness
About this role
Anduril Industries seeks a Software Engineer to develop advanced tracking algorithms and real-time software systems for air and missile defense radar applications. You'll design sophisticated multi-target tracking solutions, optimize performance-critical systems, and collaborate with radar engineers to deploy production-grade defense systems that process massive sensor data streams.
What you'll do
- Design and implement advanced multi-target tracking and track fusion algorithms for airborne threats
- Develop high-performance real-time software systems that process radar data and maintain tracks on dozens to hundreds of simultaneous targets
- Build and leverage modeling and simulation environments to validate tracking performance and identify improvements
- Collaborate with radar engineers and system architects to integrate tracking solutions into end-to-end defense systems
- Optimize tracking software for millisecond-critical performance environments
- Communicate technical concepts and trade-offs to cross-functional teams, leadership, and customers
What they're looking for
- C++ programming
- Python programming
- Linear algebra and probability
- Statistics and differential equations
- Real-time system design
- Signal processing and sensor fusion
- Software engineering fundamentals (design patterns, testing, version control)
- Multi-target tracking algorithms
