About this role
Anduril Industries seeks a Systems Engineer for its Space Imaging team to design and validate spaceborne EO/IR sensor systems. You'll develop physics-based performance models, conduct trade studies, oversee prototype development, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver advanced sensing capabilities from concept through field testing.
What you'll do
- Define system architectures through detailed trade studies and radiometric performance modeling
- Develop and validate physics-based models of sensor system performance against lab and real-world data
- Lead prototype sensor development in laboratory environments and support field-based experiments
- Model atmospheric and environmental effects to predict performance for various target types
- Engage with hardware, software, and mission teams to integrate and deliver high-performance systems
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders with varying technical backgrounds
