About this role
Anduril Industries seeks a Test Engineer for its Maritime team to own the hardware test lifecycle for advanced defense systems, from requirements translation through hands-on floor execution and operational qualification. You'll design test strategies, build custom rigs, conduct Hardware-in-the-Loop testing, and lead root-cause analysis while scaling the test organization.
What you'll do
- Develop Test & Evaluation Plans, Verification Cross Reference Matrices, and DVP&R documentation from customer and system-level requirements
- Own HITL test architectures and functional qualification testing across major maritime assets, validating sensor/actuator response and fault modes
- Design, build, and oversee hydrostatic and pressure vessel testing setups for subsea hardware with deep submergence qualification criteria
- Lead hands-on integration, functional testing, and environmental validation on production floor and during on-water trials
- Select, calibrate, and install instrumentation and data acquisition systems to capture and analyze empirical test data
- Execute root-cause failure analysis (8D, FMEA, fault tree) and drive corrective design actions; interface with suppliers and cross-functional teams
