About this role
Anthropic seeks an experienced Offensive Security Engineer to conduct red team and penetration testing operations against AI systems and cloud infrastructure. This role involves discovering novel attack vectors, building security testing tools, and translating findings into actionable insights for cross-functional teams.
What you'll do
- Conduct red and purple team engagements simulating advanced threat actors across cloud, endpoints, and bare metal systems
- Perform penetration testing on high-value deployments and identify novel attack vectors
- Develop and contribute to AI-assisted security testing tooling and workflows
- Collaborate with security and engineering teams on AI-specific attack scenarios and threat modeling
- Document findings and present to both technical and executive audiences, translating attacks into risk insights
- Partner with blue team to ensure security roadmap alignment and actionable remediation
What they're looking for
- Red teaming and offensive security operations (5+ years)
- macOS security, Linux security, or cloud security (GCP/AWS/Azure)
- Kubernetes and CI/CD pipeline security
- Python, Go, or similar programming languages
- Vulnerability research and creative attack chaining
- Adversarial simulation against well-defended environments
- Technical writing and risk communication
- AI/ML system testing (preferred)
