Spacecraft Build Engineer

About this role

Apex seeks a Spacecraft Build Engineer to develop and scale manufacturing processes for satellite buses, working at the intersection of design and production to enable high-rate spacecraft builds. You'll own process development, tooling design, and production optimization while partnering with design teams to drive manufacturability across propulsion, avionics, and structural systems.

What you'll do

• Develop and qualify manufacturing processes for spacecraft components and assemblies
• Design precision tooling and fixtures to improve quality, repeatability, and cycle time
• Optimize production processes to reduce takt time and increase throughput
• Lead hardware transition from development into production environments
• Partner with design engineering on design for manufacturability and vehicle architecture
• Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and drive root cause analysis and corrective actions
