About this role

CWE, An Apex Company, seeks a Design Engineer III to lead civil infrastructure projects in private land development. You'll design complete systems for drainage, utilities, roads, and water facilities while mentoring junior staff and managing project scopes, schedules, and budgets.

What you'll do

  • Design civil site improvements, drainage systems, utilities, roads, and water/wastewater facilities using engineering calculations and design standards
  • Prepare comprehensive engineering reports, specifications, and technical documentation for projects
  • Create project drawings and designs using AutoCAD Civil3D for alignments, profiles, cross-sections, and earthwork calculations
  • Lead and supervise technical and non-technical staff on multidisciplinary project teams
  • Manage project timelines and budgets while maintaining quality standards and client satisfaction
  • Collaborate with internal teams across multiple offices and external stakeholders on complex projects
