About this role

Apex Companies seeks a detail-oriented Drinking Water Treatment Process Engineer to support water supply and treatment projects across the Northeast. You'll contribute to the full project lifecycle—from conceptualization through facility startup and optimization—on groundwater/surface water treatment plants, pump stations, and facility upgrades, working hybrid from Massachusetts or Rhode Island offices.

What you'll do

  • Prepare technical memoranda, reports, calculations, designs, drawings, specifications, permit applications, and cost estimates on assigned projects
  • Monitor project schedules and budgets, report progress, and identify scope changes or additional work
  • Coordinate with subconsultants under senior staff direction
  • Serve as Lead Designer on less complex projects or discrete components of larger initiatives
  • Support all phases of water treatment projects from planning through facility startup and optimization
  • Collaborate with project managers and senior engineers on design and engineering deliverables
