About this role

Applied Intuition seeks an Autonomy Integration Engineer to lead drone system bring-up from benchtop to flight operations, bridging hardware, embedded software, and field testing. You'll split time between the lab and airfield, configuring Linux systems, deploying containerized software, troubleshooting networks, and developing integration tooling for autonomous aerial platforms.

What you'll do

  • Lead end-to-end hardware and software integration for unmanned aerial systems through prototyping and flight test campaigns
  • Deploy and configure edge software stacks using Docker, Linux tools, and shell scripts across onboard computers and peripherals
  • Troubleshoot vehicle networks, sensor interfaces, and payload links using command-line diagnostics and test equipment
  • Develop Python and C++ scripts for data analysis, system validation, and real-time subsystem verification
  • Fabricate custom wiring harnesses, perform precision soldering, and define system architecture
  • Configure IP routing, network interfaces, and communications between flight controllers, radios, and ground stations
