About this role

Applied Intuition seeks an Autonomy Integration Engineer to serve as the technical bridge between hardware, embedded software, and field operations for autonomous drone systems. You'll split your time between the lab and airfield, managing system bring-up from benchtop configuration through live flight testing, with expertise spanning Linux deployment, embedded wiring, and real-time troubleshooting.

What you'll do

  • Lead end-to-end hardware and software integration for unmanned aerial systems from prototype to active flight test
  • Deploy and configure containerized software stacks using Docker across onboard computers and peripheral hardware
  • Troubleshoot vehicle networks, payload interfaces, and sensor links in real time using CLI tools and hardware diagnostics
  • Develop Python and C++ scripts for data reduction, log analysis, system validation, and subsystem verification
  • Fabricate custom wiring harnesses, perform precision soldering, and define system-level architecture
  • Configure IP routing, mesh networking, and communication protocols between flight controllers and ground stations
