About this role
Applied Intuition seeks a Hardware Engineer to integrate commercial robots into reliable industrial autonomy systems. You'll design mechanical assemblies, manage hardware integration from CAD through deployment, and maintain lab equipment while collaborating across mechanical, electrical, and software teams.
What you'll do
- Design and fabricate camera mounts, grippers, adapters, fixtures, and compute enclosures for robot systems
- Integrate robot arms, sensors, compute, power systems, and cable harnesses into working platforms
- Guide retrofit kits from requirements through CAD, supplier coordination, assembly, validation, and documentation
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults; distinguish hardware failures from software issues
- Collaborate with safety specialists on cell guarding, emergency stops, interlocks, and operational checks
- Maintain lab readiness with calibration fixtures, preventive maintenance, spares inventory, and procedures
