About this role
Applied Intuition seeks a Software Engineer to own the onboard live-map estimator for autonomous vehicles, fusing HD map priors with real-time perception data. You'll architect a core system that enables safe navigation across automotive, trucking, mining, and construction platforms while building change detection, trust semantics, and evaluation pipelines from scratch.
What you'll do
- Design and implement the onboard live-map estimator, fusing HD map priors with live perception into a real-time world model
- Build map change detection systems to classify boundary shifts, stop-line moves, and road closures from map-perception divergence
- Define map trust contracts and confidence semantics that the autonomous planner relies on
- Architect evaluation, ground-truth, and metrics pipelines to prevent quality regression
- Ship production C++ estimation code meeting real-time constraints on embedded compute
- Extend the system offboard to aggregate fleet divergence data into map freshness and correction pipelines
