About this role
Applied Intuition seeks a Systems Engineer to design and integrate autonomous vehicle and defense systems, combining systems architecture, robotics, software deployment, and field testing. You'll work across office and field environments, collaborating with software and autonomy teams to deploy robust, operationally validated systems.
What you'll do
- Define system requirements and design multi-system architectures aligned with industry standards (PYRAMID, FCADE, ARP 4754A, DO-178C)
- Develop and maintain systems engineering models and documentation capturing key design decisions
- Deploy, test, and validate software on autonomous vehicles, robotics platforms, and vehicle autopilots in real-world conditions
- Collaborate with perception and autonomy teams to integrate and optimize vision, radar, and fusion perception pipelines
- Design inter-vehicle communication systems ensuring seamless data exchange for collaborative autonomous operations
- Conduct field troubleshooting and validation using simulation environments before production deployment
