About this role
ARCO is seeking a Substation Electrical Engineer to lead the design and execution of electrical substation projects. This role involves managing project teams, developing detailed designs, performing electrical calculations, and ensuring adherence to industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of substation design principles and experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
What you'll do
- Lead and manage project teams in the design and execution of substation projects.
- Develop and review engineering deliverables like single-line diagrams and schematics.
- Perform electrical calculations and studies (short circuit, bus loading, etc.).
- Review vendor submittals and specifications for substation equipment.
- Coordinate with construction and commissioning teams.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards (IEEE, ANSI, NESC/NEC).
