Software Engineer, Workforce Operations
About this role
Build AI agents to automate real-time workforce management decisions for Assembled's support operations platform. Own end-to-end product development across data models, AI decision-making systems, and polished customer experiences that help teams optimize staffing and response times.
What you'll do
- Design and build AI agents that monitor live support volume, staffing, and performance to identify problems and recommend or execute actions
- Develop data models and systems that power workforce operations decisions using live operational data, historical patterns, and customer policies
- Create control and observability layers so customers understand agent recommendations and can choose when to automate decisions
- Ship features end-to-end from problem discovery through production deployment and customer feedback
- Evolve the core Workforce Operations platform to support increasingly real-time and autonomous workflows at scale
- Balance technical tradeoffs between reliability, data freshness, and system complexity

- AI/ML fundamentals including agent design, tool use, and observability
- Real-time data systems and operational reliability
