Applied AI Engineer

About this role

AssemblyAI seeks an Applied AI Engineer to bridge cutting-edge Speech AI models with real-world customer implementations. You'll spend your time building demos, solving production issues, and guiding customers from onboarding through deployment while influencing product direction based on frontline insights.

What you'll do

• Guide customers through full product lifecycle from implementation to production deployment and post-launch optimization
• Build custom demos and prototypes showcasing Speech AI solutions for specific customer use cases
• Conduct technical discovery sessions and competitive evaluations to help customers make informed decisions
• Troubleshoot production issues across multiple programming languages and API types (streaming and async)
• Serve as voice of customer to Product and Research teams, testing features and advocating for roadmap improvements
• Travel to customer sites for technical workshops and relationship building with key accounts
