About this role
Anduril is hiring a Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical design and integration for Omen, an autonomous tail-sitter aircraft. You'll own the airframe development from concept through production, collaborating across disciplines to deliver a runway-independent Group 3 platform with a 50-unit production contract.
What you'll do
- Lead mechanical design of the air vehicle from concept to low-rate production
- Define requirements, propose solutions, and establish verification methodology for mechanical systems
- Coordinate with electrical and software teams to ensure integrated system reliability and cost-effectiveness
- Conduct design reviews, structural analysis, vendor visits, and hardware testing
- Manage assembly fixturing and tooling design through full lifecycle development
- Support customer demonstrations and travel to test sites as needed
