About this role

AssetWatch is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and develop hardware products for industrial condition monitoring systems. You'll lead mechanical design from concept through production, working with CAD tools and cross-functional teams on connected devices for demanding manufacturing environments.

What you'll do

  • Design mechanical assemblies and components for existing and new AssetWatch hardware products using Solidworks
  • Conduct DFM/DFA analysis, create detailed drawings, BOMs, and manufacturing specifications in coordination with supply chain
  • Build and test prototypes while ensuring structural integrity, material selection, and regulatory compliance
  • Develop specifications for off-the-shelf parts and collaborate with manufacturing partners on production readiness
  • Manage mechanical engineering projects independently, maintain schedules, and communicate progress in a distributed team environment
  • Support manufacturing process optimization including injection molding, machining, fixturing, and tooling design
