Join Astranis as a Mechanical Engineer Intern for a 12-week winter program designing and building spacecraft hardware and mechanisms for satellites in high orbit. What you'll do
- Design, evaluate, procure, and assemble spacecraft structures, brackets, and mechanisms using composite and metallic materials
- Perform mechanical and thermal analysis on satellite systems
- Build and test hardware components from concept through integration
- Integrate parts and systems into the spacecraft with cross-functional teams
- Document assembly procedures and develop process improvements
- Collaborate with engineering teams on complex spacecraft projects
