About this role
Astranis seeks a Software Engineer to design and build end-to-end testing software architecture for satellite vehicle validation and hardware integration. You'll create scalable test infrastructure, work directly with hardware teams in the lab, and ensure aerospace systems meet flight-readiness standards while supporting both commercial and U.S. Government programs.
What you'll do
- Design high-level software architecture for vehicle integration and test operations
- Build scalable test code and infrastructure reused across multiple vehicle generations and testing campaigns
- Integrate flight software with ground software teams into test infrastructure
- Refine electrical engineering specifications to validate critical flight components
- Lead large test campaigns, mentor junior engineers, and delegate work effectively
- Support development phases from proposal through flight, with on-call production troubleshooting
