About this role
Astranis seeks an engineering intern to support supplier quality processes for satellite manufacturing, including failure analysis, quality specification design, and inspection planning across the company's supply chain.
What you'll do
- Conduct failure mode and root cause analyses with implementation of corrective actions
- Design quality requirements and specifications for purchased parts and manufacturing
- Create inspection, testing, and re-processing plans in collaboration with suppliers
- Monitor supplier performance metrics and communicate status updates to management
- Support manufacturing process development at supplier facilities
- Work with both established and innovative suppliers on quality issues
