About this role
Join Astranis as a Thermal Associate Engineer for a 12-week salaried role designing and analyzing thermal systems for advanced satellites in high orbit. You'll perform thermal analysis, design cooling solutions, and support testing of satellite hardware that will launch into space.
What you'll do
- Conduct thermal analysis at multiple fidelity levels on propulsion, battery, electronics, RF, and PCB systems
- Design and evaluate thermal solutions including heaters, heat pipes, and thermal interface materials
- Develop integration and assembly processes to preserve thermal design intent
- Plan and execute thermal vacuum testing at component and spacecraft levels
- Support design trades balancing performance, resources, risk, cost, and schedule
- Collaborate with integration and test teams on thermal hardware installation
