Mechanical Engineer Levels 2-3

About this role

Mechanical Engineer position (Levels 2-3) designing and validating automation and robotic systems in Walker, Michigan. You'll create 3D models, perform simulations, collaborate across teams, and support on-site operations, with Level 3 roles including project leadership and mentoring.

What you'll do

• Develop 3D CAD models and 2D drawings for robotic end-of-arm tooling, fixtures, and automation components
• Conduct stress simulations, motion studies, and safety assessments (FMEA) to validate designs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical systems with electrical and controls
• Lead prototype testing, troubleshooting, and iterative design refinements
• Create technical documentation including specifications and engineering change orders
• Provide on-site technical support and assist with operations (Level 3: mentor junior engineers and manage small-scale projects)
