About this role
Axon seeks a Professional Services Engineer to lead end-to-end deployments of cloud-based 911 emergency response platforms for public safety agencies. You'll combine deep VoIP and network expertise with customer-facing implementation skills, working remotely while traveling up to 50% for on-site installations and training.
What you'll do
- Plan, design, and execute end-to-end deployment projects for cloud call-handling solutions serving 911 PSAPs
- Provide advanced technical training and knowledge transfer to customers during implementation phases
- Collaborate with engineering teams on complex technical solutions and troubleshooting
- Serve as trusted technical advisor and provide ongoing support including after-hours installations
- Continuously improve deployment processes and documentation for efficiency and scalability
- Work across Sales, Engineering, Customer Success, and Support teams to ensure seamless project delivery

- VoIP systems and PBX administration (8+ years)
- AWS cloud infrastructure
- Network infrastructure (routers, firewalls, OSI model)
- Complex project planning and execution
- SIP, RTSP, RTMP, and streaming technologies
- Customer communication and stakeholder management
- Problem-solving and technical troubleshooting
- Emergency services/public safety domain knowledge (preferred)
