About this role

Base seeks a Deployment Engineer to establish operational procedures and systems for scaling distributed battery deployments with utility partners. You'll serve as the technical liaison between Base and utilities, managing the deal pipeline from contract to Permission to Operate while building repeatable processes for multi-market expansion.

What you'll do

  • Define operational parameters and procedures for deploying batteries at scale across utility partnerships
  • Act as primary technical contact for utility partners on interconnection, inspection, installation, and integration requirements
  • Build systems to collect deployment data and drive continuous operational improvements
  • Own daily pipeline health: track deal aging, resolve blockers, manage CRM records, and coordinate handoffs between field teams and partners
  • Develop pipeline automations and operational foundations to enable new partnership scaling
  • Run deployment feasibility studies and collaborate with utilities to define mutually workable operational requirements
