About this role
Base is hiring an Environmental Health & Safety Engineer in Austin, TX to support field operations for their distributed battery energy company. You'll conduct hazard assessments, investigate incidents, ensure regulatory compliance with OSHA and Texas codes, and develop safety solutions across their growing operations.
What you'll do
- Conduct hazard assessments and job safety analyses with department leadership
- Investigate industrial accidents and occupational diseases to identify root causes and preventive measures
- Execute industrial hygiene studies and facility inspections to identify and correct hazards
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, NIOSH, and Texas Health and Safety Codes
- Develop and implement EHS policies, procedures, and machine guarding solutions
- Manage hazardous and non-hazardous waste and maintain documented safety audits
