About this role
Base, a distributed battery and power infrastructure company, seeks an EHS Engineer to support field operations in Texas. You'll conduct hazard assessments, investigate incidents, ensure regulatory compliance with OSHA and state codes, and develop safety strategies to protect personnel and the environment.
What you'll do
- Conduct hazard assessments and implement health and safety policies aligned with OSHA, NFPA, and Texas regulations
- Perform industrial hygiene studies to evaluate manufacturing byproducts against health exposure thresholds
- Inspect facilities, machinery, and equipment to identify hazards and implement machine guarding solutions
- Investigate industrial accidents and occupational diseases to determine root causes and preventive measures
- Develop and maintain documented safety observations from regular hazard audits
- Manage hazardous and non-hazardous waste compliance and emergency response coordination
