About this role

Base is hiring a Test Engineer in Austin to develop, deploy, and maintain automated manufacturing test systems for battery backup products. You'll work cross-functionally to optimize equipment uptime, cycle time, and first-pass yield while supporting both production ramp-up and ongoing field troubleshooting.

What you'll do

  • Lead improvements in test equipment uptime, cycle time, and first-pass yield through data analysis and preventive maintenance
  • Collaborate across teams to validate manufacturing test equipment meets production requirements and troubleshoot gaps
  • Perform voice-of-customer analysis and data reviews post-deployment to identify operational challenges and advocate solutions
  • Build, validate, and deploy test systems to contract manufacturers and internal production lines with complete documentation handoff
  • Provide ongoing troubleshooting and technical support for deployed test equipment in the field
  • Support equipment qualification and testing during development and manufacturing ramp phases
