Supply Chain Tooling Engineer Intern
About this role
Base is seeking a Supply Chain Tooling & Optimization Intern to build internal tools and data pipelines for their vertically-integrated residential battery company. You'll own real problems spanning manufacturing, logistics, and software—developing dashboards, forecasting models, and optimization prototypes that directly support planners and operations teams scaling battery deployments across Texas.
What you'll do
- Build internal dashboards, trackers, and tools to increase supply chain visibility across TMS, WMS, and MRP systems
- Develop data pipelines and integrations to connect ERP, supplier portals, and shipping systems
- Analyze operational data to identify bottlenecks, blocked orders, and supply chain disruptions
- Prototype inventory and network optimization models including multi-warehouse stock allocation and warehouse slotting
- Create demand forecasting and supplier reliability models to feed MRP planning parameters
- Deploy solutions directly into planner workflows and iterate on feedback from operations teams
