About this role
Baseten is seeking an AI Engineer to build AI-powered workflows and automations that optimize GPU capacity management and fleet operations. You'll design and ship solutions that reduce manual work for the Compute and C3 teams, turning complex data into actionable insights while thinking strategically about system architecture.
What you'll do
- Design and deploy AI agents and automations to eliminate manual, repetitive capacity management tasks
- Build dashboards, alerts, and recommendations that translate fleet and demand data into team actions
- Audit existing tooling, identify gaps, and create your own prioritized backlog without waiting for direction
- Rapidly prototype and launch productivity workflows, delivering solutions within days of requests
- Decide when to build custom AI solutions versus leveraging no-code platforms based on problem requirements
- Integrate third-party APIs and internal systems to ensure reliable data flow across tools and teams
