BETA Technologies is seeking an Aircraft Loads Engineer to join their team and contribute to the development of electric aircraft. You'll be responsible for defining and analyzing external loads like gusts and maneuvers for both fixed-wing and VTOL designs, collaborating with various engineering teams to ensure accurate load case definitions and structural testing. This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of sustainable aviation.
What you'll do
- Develop external loads requirements and analyses (maneuver, gust, ground)
- Define load cases for fixed wing and VTOL aircraft aligning with certification
- Develop FEM models and generate external loads
- Assist in loads test development and execution
- Identify areas for design and analysis improvement
- Collaborate with Flight Science, Structures, and Certification teams
