About this role
BillionToOne seeks an Automation Service Engineer to support oncology laboratory operations in Menlo Park, CA, providing troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of Next Generation Sequencing equipment in a regulated environment. What you'll do
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair automated laboratory instruments and equipment in NGS workflows
- Perform preventive maintenance, installation, and operational qualifications on lab equipment
- Execute root cause analysis and implement problem-solving solutions with vendor coordination
- Maintain accurate regulatory documentation and ensure GDP compliance across all equipment records
- Design and propose process improvements while managing parts inventory and equipment tracking
- Represent automation teams in cross-functional meetings and support special projects as assigned
