About this role
Block's Privacy Engineering team seeks a Software Engineer to design and build infrastructure protecting customer privacy across the company's financial services ecosystem. You'll develop internal tools, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and help shape Block's privacy technology strategy while working fully remote.
What you'll do
- Design and develop services and infrastructure supporting data privacy initiatives across Block's engineering ecosystem
- Collaborate with product engineering, security, and platform teams to integrate privacy solutions into their systems
- Help define the technological direction and future of privacy at Block
- Provide mentorship and code reviews for engineering teams adopting privacy technologies
- Monitor and maintain stability of the team's existing engineering solutions
- Contribute to data governance processes and privacy risk assessment
