Forward Deployed Engineer
About this role
Blockstream seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer to embed within customer organizations and lead technical implementations of Bitcoin and Layer-2 products. You'll balance customer-facing delivery—from prototyping and pre-sales through production deployment—with contributing enhancements back to core products based on real-world learnings.
What you'll do
- Embed onsite with financial institution customers to design, deploy, and optimize Blockstream products in complex banking environments
- Lead end-to-end implementations including technical pre-sales, RFP support, SOW scoping, UAT, and production go-live
- Build AI-assisted prototypes and proof-of-concepts on rapid timelines to validate enterprise value early in engagements
- Design and implement integrations between Blockstream products and core banking/capital-markets systems
- Deploy solutions into air-gapped, on-premise, and compliance-controlled environments with required audit and security documentation
- Translate implementation insights and customer feedback into product improvements and reusable playbooks
