About this role

Bot Auto is hiring a Security Engineer to protect its autonomous trucking technology across onboard vehicles, cloud infrastructure, and AI systems. This hands-on role involves implementing security controls, managing access and secrets, defending against AI-specific threats, and collaborating with engineering teams to secure the full stack from vehicle to cloud.

What you'll do

  • Implement security controls for in-vehicle systems including secure boot, code signing, OTA updates, and key management
  • Support infrastructure and platform security across Kubernetes, AWS, data centers, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Evaluate and implement protections for AI systems against prompt injection, data exfiltration, and unsafe agent behavior
  • Build and maintain identity management, secrets management, and least-privilege authorization across services and devices
  • Conduct threat modeling, security design reviews, and risk assessments with engineering teams
  • Operate vulnerability management, dependency scanning, and secure software development lifecycle tooling
