Software Engineer III, Network Platform
About this role
Box seeks a Software Engineer III to design and build backend services and infrastructure automation for their Network Platform team. You'll transform manual network processes into self-serve, automated workflows using Python and Terraform, partnering with internal customers to improve reliability and developer experience across the organization.
What you'll do
- Design and implement backend services in Python that expose network capabilities to internal application and service owners
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code with Terraform for provisioning and managing network resources
- Convert manual, ticket-driven processes into automated, scalable workflows across teams
- Integrate observability and safeguards to enable safe, auditable network changes
- Participate in design reviews and cross-functional collaboration with application owners and platform teams
- Participate in on-call rotation to respond to and triage network platform issues
