Building Automation Controls Engineer
About this role
Blueprint seeks a Building Automation Engineer to oversee BAS and controls design for large-scale, mission-critical facility projects including hyperscale data centers. You'll review engineering submittals, collaborate with cross-functional teams, support commissioning activities, and help standardize controls practices across a global portfolio.
What you'll do
- Review BAS submittals, controls schematics, sequences of operations, points lists, and network architecture for compliance with specifications and standards
- Provide technical oversight during design, construction, and commissioning phases of large-scale facility projects
- Support testing, validation, and performance verification activities with documentation and test script execution
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and facility engineering teams to resolve RFIs, field issues, and integration challenges
- Track design comments through revisions to closure and identify design risks requiring resolution
- Document design changes, lessons learned, and contribute to standardized BAS controls practices across projects
