About this role

Blueprint seeks a Substrate PAVC Engineer to manage patching, antivirus, and vulnerability compliance across Microsoft Substrate environments. You'll handle Windows security patch deployments, PowerShell automation, Kusto Query Language analysis, and troubleshoot deployment failures at scale while collaborating with engineering, security, and compliance teams.

What you'll do

  • Support monthly Windows security patch rollouts, including official updates, Defender updates, and .NET security components
  • Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for patch deployment automation, investigation, remediation, and reporting
  • Query and analyze patch deployment results using Kusto Query Language to identify patterns, monitor compliance, and track vulnerabilities
  • Troubleshoot failed Windows updates using Event Viewer, CBS logs, installer diagnostics, and error code analysis
  • Build, validate, and publish patching packages following Safe Deployment Practices across deployment rings
  • Investigate deployment stragglers and remediate issues caused by installation failures, network problems, or environment constraints
