About this role

Blueprint seeks a Substrate PAVC Engineer to manage Windows patching, antivirus updates, and vulnerability compliance across large-scale Microsoft Substrate environments. You'll use PowerShell, Kusto queries, and diagnostic tools to deploy patches, troubleshoot failures, and maintain security compliance across distributed server fleets.

What you'll do

  • Execute monthly Windows security patch rollouts including official, prerelease, Defender, and .NET updates
  • Develop and maintain PowerShell automation scripts for patch deployment, investigation, and reporting
  • Query and analyze patch deployment results using Kusto Query Language to identify failure patterns and compliance gaps
  • Troubleshoot failed Windows updates using Event Viewer, CBS logs, DISM, and other diagnostic tools
  • Build and validate patching components following Safe Deployment Practices across deployment rings
  • Investigate and remediate deployment failures caused by installation issues, network problems, or environment blockers
