Platform Support Engineer
About this role
Braintrust is hiring Platform Support Engineers to own customer-facing support for hybrid and self-hosted deployments of their agent observability platform across AWS, Azure, and GCP. You'll debug infrastructure problems, diagnose performance issues, lead incident response, and ship fixes alongside the engineering team.
What you'll do
- Support hybrid and self-hosted Braintrust deployments across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments
- Debug infrastructure problems including Kubernetes, Terraform, networking, IAM, and cloud-provider issues
- Diagnose backend performance and reliability issues using logs, metrics, and traces
- Lead incident response for customer-impacting issues with clear communication and resolution
- Submit PRs to backend services, Terraform modules, and deployment tooling
- Build diagnostics, health checks, and self-service tooling to help customers unblock themselves
What they're looking for
- Kubernetes deployment, debugging, and scaling
- Terraform and AWS (strongly preferred)
- Backend codebase proficiency in Python, TypeScript, or Go
- Observability tooling and data-driven troubleshooting
- Customer-facing technical communication under pressure
- Incident response and triage
- Multi-cloud infrastructure experience (bonus: Azure, GCP)
- Database and data infrastructure knowledge (bonus: Postgres, ClickHouse)
