Platform Software Engineer II
About this role
Build developer-facing platform tooling and infrastructure abstractions at Braze, a customer engagement platform. You'll create self-serve deployment, testing, and AI agent frameworks while shaping a brand-new Developer Acceleration team from the ground up.
What you'll do
- Simplify Braze's infrastructure primitives (deployment, provisioning, testing) into self-serve paths for engineers
- Design frameworks and safety guardrails for internally-built AI agents, including governance and access controls
- Partner with engineering teams to define infrastructure-as-a-service primitives and monitoring strategies
- Build opinionated abstractions and tooling that improve observability and usability of platform services
- Help establish on-call rotations and reliability practices as the team scales
- Design software interfaces, boundaries, and failure mode handling for distributed systems
