Structural Engineer
About this role
Entry-level structural engineer supporting field evaluations and analysis of industrial structures. You'll develop analytical models, design rehabilitation plans, and provide technical oversight for steel and concrete projects while working toward professional licensure under experienced P.E.s and S.E.s.
What you'll do
- Conduct field evaluations of existing industrial structures
- Develop calculations and analytical models for steel and concrete structures
- Design rehabilitation and replacement plans with material specifications
- Write technical reports and provide quality control during construction
- Perform root cause failure analysis on structural issues
- Ensure compliance with building codes and client-specific safety requirements

- STAAD Pro or similar structural modeling software
- AutoCAD
- Knowledge of ACI 318, AISC, ASCE-7, and IBC standards
- Structural analysis and calculations
- Written and verbal communication
- Field assessment and inspection techniques
